Thank
you for coming to my website. I would like to welcome you here
to get information about this great adventure of being a junior
golfer that I am on.
I am fortunate to be the child of great parents who love and
support me very much. I was born on March 6,1996 in Atlanta,
Georgia. It was the same year of the Centennial Olympic Games.
When I was three years old, my dad gave me a set of plastic
clubs. He would take me with him to the public golf course and I
would play around on the putting green until I met my first
love…The sand box, I mean sand bunker. I loved going to the
course because I got to spend time playing in the sand. I still
get in the sand a lot today, only now I’m practicing bunker
shots (smile).
June 2001, I played in my first tournament a North Fulton Golf
course. I was the only girl in my age group so I had to play
with the boys and I won. I received a lot of nice gifts and a
trophy. That is one of the many experiences I have been
fortunate to be involved in with golf.
My parents tell me often of the sacrifices that have been made
in the past that allow me to play this great sport. . They speak
of women golfers like Ann Gregory, Althea Gibson, Renee Powell
and Laree Pearl Sugg. These and others have paved the way for
myself and others to follow They also tell me of three
principles to live by, and they are:
1. Be Trustworthy
2. Be the best at whatever you do, and
3. Respect Authority
They say if I live by these principles, I’ll have a good chance
at being successful in golf and in life as well.
